Hello akanjis308, If you are talking about a IOS upgrade you will only be able to upgrade to IOS 15.7. For the latest IOS 16.0.3 you will need a iPhone 8 minimum. To update simply go to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the prompts. I recommend doing a backup to your Apple ID first. In Settings click on your ID > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Back Up Now
