Hi, I've got this old but brilliant 30" display. But trying to set it up with my Macbook pro that I've used with this screen previously, it no only offers 1280 x 800 resolution. I've just upgraded to Ventura OS. But the whole purpose of the extra screen disappears if the OS does not support the relevant resolution. Any suggestions?

Did you try to toggle "Show All Resolutions" in System Settings->Displays?
That’s disappointing. What is the mac model and how is the display connected? Adapters, docks in between?

... the Mac model is a 15inch MacBook Pro from 2018. I have used it before with the Apple Display. Theres a Belkin adapter converting the USB-C to the screens DVI plug. So the screen works, it's just the resolution that's too low.
Yes, and I got the 1280x800 as the highest possible option. I also got 720p and 1080p as choices. The 720 isn't better than the 1280x800 and choosing the 1080p makes the screen go black.
