Why do I have 2 phone numbers on my iPhone?

Since I upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max, all the sudden I have an extra phone number showing up on my phone. Tons of people are asking if I changed my phone number and I didn’t. Anyone have a solution for this?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Try this

Settings, Messages, Turn off iMessage

Settings, Face Time, Turn off Face Time

Restart the phone.

Settings, Messages, Turn on iMessage, SMS, MMS

Settings, Messages, send & Receive, select your number which should now be there.

Settings, Face Time, Turn on Face Time
