Does anyone else notice some songs play at a considerably lower volume than others? Skipping around the song through a lyric jump or fast forwarding picks the volume up for a second and then it drops back down.
I tried resetting the app with no change. I’m on the Series X.

Yes, I’m in a series x as well and can confirm. It’s sporadic, and I’ve noticed it reduces volume after any type of input or song change (swapping dolby atmos, windows sonic, etc.). It’s was only on headphones. It’s doesn’t seem to happen on my soundbar with known low volume songs. I’m in Ethernet, hdmi straight to tv, and optical to soundbar.
edit: I’ve noticed there are straight up quiet songs even in my sound bar. I listen to heavy metal so a lot of mixes vary, but there are songs that even my game washes them out entirely. Really enjoy the app, really need to find a fix for this.
yeah this seems to be a persistent issue with ever xbox it shouldn't take long but I assume Apple has a patch on the way. other than that there isn't a fix and there's not much that can be done.

I tried these suggestions to no avail; I even uninstalled the app & started fresh and no change. Doesn’t seem to be related to Dolby Atmos media, however there’s no way to see that on the console, you would have to cross reference on another device.
The easiest way to test is to just hit the bumper to skip ahead and you can immediately tell the volume spikes to normal level and back down to a very quiet level.
Quite puzzling, but I’ll just avoid using the app until a fix happens.

I have the same issue I have to turn my tv up to 100 just to get a volume close to normal but not quite, was so excited to get my Apple Music while I play but this is such a disappointment hopefully it gets fixed fast ie add a volume slider lol
Just downloaded Apple Music on Series X and it’s hard to listen to with the difference in volume. And in the quieter songs the quality is much poorer too.
Same Problem here. Tells you a lot if Spotify doesn’t have that Problem but Apple Music does, which btw i pay monthly for. Spotify is free.
