Complaint about storage

hi.

I’m using iPhone 6. I’ve been trying to backup my iCloud but the storage is full but I upgraded my storage with 50GB but still I’m struggling to download apps because space is full but I paid for space. What must I do? They haven’t given me the space but I’m paying for space.

Hello yonwaba177,

Apps you download to your iPhone 6 are stored in the internal storage of your iPhone, as opposed to the storage for your iCloud account. Purchasing iCloud storage doesn't increase or supplement the internal storage of your iPhone 6. This resource has more details, for reference: What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage? - Apple Support

So you would need to manage the internal storage of your iPhone to make space for any additional apps: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

For difficulties with backing up your iPhone and app data to iCloud, you'll want to follow the steps below:

1. In iOS or iPadOS, go to Settings > [your name].
2. Tap iCloud. At the top, you can check how much iCloud storage you've used.
3. Tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage.
4. Tap Backups, then tap the device you're using. Under Last Backup and Backup Size, you can check Next Backup Size. It may take a few minutes for your device to calculate Next Backup Size.
5. If your backup needs more space than the amount you have available in iCloud, you can:
Delete information that you don't need to reduce the size of your backup
Upgrade your iCloud+ plan to get more space

You can also find those steps in this resource: If you can't back up to iCloud - Apple Support

Hopefully those details and resource help address your inquiry.

Take care.
