iPhone keeps calling itself whenever I get in my car

Not OP, but I’ve noticed this too on my iPhone 14, didn’t happen with second gen SE. It behaves like Siri is listening (the car starts a phone call to my own number and does nothing for about ten seconds while the phone appears inactive). Looking closely at the phone I notice that it looks like soemthing is playing on the car and it starts and stops, but there no info on what it is. When I try to disrupt this process by hanging up or using my phone, or stopping what’s playing, nothing happens.

We understand you're experiencing issues with your iPhone unexpectedly making phone calls when it connects to your car. Do either of you have any kind of third-party calling apps, such as those for meeting or internet calling?

Also, what do you see on the iPhone screen when this is occurring?

Same issue here! Ram, Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, all the same issue after 16 update. Stop blaming third party apps or vehicle software & hardware. This is obviously an apple issue no matter how many hard restarts, Bluetooth deletions and connections. Please take this serious before we all go android!
