Locked notes are now blank on macOS Ventura

Hello,

I recently upgraded my MacBook Air to macOS Ventura and then I opened the Notes App. It prompted me to select if I need to use the custom password instead of Login password. I selected it as Yes. To my surprise now all the notes that are in locked state, when I unlock them with the custom password or fingerprint reader, they come out as completely blank. I am not sure how do I retrieve them on the MacBook. They work fine on the iPhone though which is on v16.1.

Can anyone assist, how do I fix the issue here?
