Trying to drag a song from my email to iTunes with no luck

Copy it from the email to your desktop. Make sure it is there on your desktop and is an actual audio file. So far ,so good? Now add it to your iTunes library.

Emailing an edited audio file Hello. I successfully edited a song in ITunes (an AAC audio file). I then dragged it to my desk top. I want to send this sound file vial email (Apple Mail), so dragged and dropped it to my draft email. However, when I played it to check, it only plays the unedited song, not the one I changed. I can no longer drag MP3s out of Music (formerly iTunes, which I much preferred) into emails to send to people. I'm a musician and need to send songs to people, I know I can do it by selecting the link and choosing a file, but sometimes I write the same song over and over and I need to see more information than that allows for before choosing a song to send. Otherwise I'm just guessing which version of my song I'm attaching because I can''t see how many stars I've given it and things like that...
