USB C Can not power anything after update.

Having usb powering issues with any device that consumes a little power: audio interfaces, usb mic's, all worked perfectly prior to updating to OS Ventura 13.1. Anyone else getting the warning?

'USB Accessories Disabled Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices'

I have tried resetting the NVRAM, different cables, devices but anything that pulls even a little current will not work.

Any help would be very much appreciated

If you see USB Devices Disabled on your Mac

Drives, cameras, keyboards, hubs, and other devices that plug into the ports on your Mac can request a limited amount of power.

If an external device isn’t recognized by your Mac and a message says that the device needs more power, the operation can't be completed, or USB Devices Disabled, try these steps:

  • Disconnect and reconnect the external device to your Mac.
  • Connect your external device to a different port on your Mac.
  • If your external device is connected to a USB or Thunderbolt hub, connect your device directly to your Mac.
  • If your USB or Thunderbolt hub is self-powered, make sure that it’s connected to an AC adapter.
