I am looking for a solution. My autistic daughter uses her iPads all the time and keeps using the volume buttons to turn it to max volume. She does not use headphones, so the volume limit in iOS does nothing for us. Is there any app or way to limit the volume when not on headphones OR disable the volume buttons from turning it up past a certain level?

Yes, it is possible, you can go in to Settings - Sounds & Haptics and set the Ringtone and Alert Level with the slider and then Turn Off the Change with Buttons and she would not be able to change the sound with the side buttons.
If you set the volume level with the slider in Settings and disable the side(Volume) buttons does she know how to get in to Settings and make changes to enable the side(Volume) buttons?
THanks for your help. I'll check out the apps. She would not know how to get in and enable them but can you actually lock the side volume buttons? i didn't think that was possible.
