Cannot login on netflix on the apple tv 3rd gen

When logging in to the Netflix App on the Apple TV 3rd Gen, the error message says "The account name and password does not match.."


I can login to the Netflix account on iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi


  1. Restore the Apple TV and set up, same error
  2. Reset the Netflix password, same error
  3. Connected to wifi and personal hotspot, same error
  4. Changed the time zone, same error
  5. Updated the email address on Netflix website using the same email address, same error
  6. Called Netflix and said that this should be escalated to Apple
  7. Called Apple and the Apple TV is already vintage and cannot be updated anymore to tvOS 16 and advised that I should contact Netflix again


Do you have any other suggestions so I can use Netflix on my Apple TV 3rd gen?
