Whilst there are obvious security consequences from not using a passcode upon an iPhone, that is not my question, yet it seemed the best question title.
Q: If I choose to disable the passcode completely upon my iPhone a message appears telling me that certain features and suchlike will not be available, yet no where can I locate the details of what those changes actually are, can anyone please advise…?

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are wondering the consequences of not using a passcode on your iPhone. Among the things that would be affected, Apple Pay cards would be removed, if you have an Apple Watch it will not unlock automatically and you will not be able to use the passcode as a way to reset your Apple ID password, along with other security related features mentioned in these Apple resources:
Face ID, Touch ID, passcodes, and passwords
