I have a2014 iMac that I wish to use as a second display for both my work 2019 MacBook Pro and personal 2021 MacBook Pro. Is this at all possible? I know Target Display isn't an option on the MacBooks so if there any other way to make it work?

Thanks! I bought one a few months ago but unfortunately was experiencing quite a bit of lag and wasn't able to resolve the issue so was hoping there might be something else out there.
You're welcome. FWIW, if you want to avoid lag your best bet is to invest in an actual monitor.
