How can we request an emoji? I think it is about time to get a Margarita and a Chips & Salsa emoji. Let's get this done before Cinco de Mayo!

As mentioned above, Emojis are part of the Unicode standard, and Apple and many other vendors implement that standard. Submit your Emoji proposal to the Unicode Emoji committee.
Getting these Emojis added by Cinco de Mayo 2024, or El Dieciséis de Septiembre 2024 (🇲🇽 Independence Day) seems quite possible. If they're approved by the Unicode Emoji committee.
The chances of this addition happening by Cinco de Mayo 2023 are approximately nil.
