third party purchase eligible for applecare?

If I buy a watch at Best Buy or Staples, am I guaranteed to be able to purchase applecare?

You can add AppleCare if you buy from Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider

Short answer: Yes if you buy From Best Buy, I just did it. First Apple product I didn't buy from the Apple store but BB sold and activated the Apple Care on the spot.
