Apple watch Ultra watch face change via phone app

When I set a watch face on my iPhone 12 Pro max ape watch app, it doesn’t sync onto my watch. Nor has it been added as a face for my collection (on watch) I have to manually add the face and change it from the watch.

The store set everything up, and I’ve started playing with the watch, but before I screw it up, I thought I’d ask the community for help.

thanks in advance. Keeping up with tech can be fun but challenging! I remember dial up modems. Lol
