Loading Yahoo mail onto iPhone 12

I’ve been having issues with yahoo mail on my iPhone and followed the advice to delete and reinstall the account, but the account will not reinstall. I go to add account, login to my yahoo account but the account doesn’t load and the screen reverts back to add account page. What am I doing wrong?
