Cannot add imported music to a playlist

I have an Apple Music subscription, and I would like to add mp3's to my Apple Music library, in which I usually do through iTunes. But now I can no longer add my imported music to any of my playlists. I used to be able to, but I can't anymore.

When I try to add them to a playlist, they show up in the playlist for about 2 minutes, and then disappear when I check the playlist again.

Hello SquidGuice,

If you're unable to add music to playlists, first check to see that you have your library enabled. Go to Settings > Music and make sure the Sync Library option is enabled.

Use Sync Library to access your music library across your devices

If you've been trying to add items to an existing playlist, try creating a new playlist and see if the same thing occurs with it when adding songs.

Create playlists on iPhone

You'll also want to make sure you've covered the basics like restarting the device and making sure it's up to date.

Restart your iPhone

Update your iPhone

If the playlists still aren't working, you'd want to contact Apple to report the issue: Get Support

Cheers!
