My earthlink email is not being sent out on my iphone 13.

My earthlink email will not send out on my iphone 13. I have IOS 16.3. Each time, incorrect password meassage appears. But the password is correct, I can login to my webmail account. etc. With the instore tech, the email account and re-uploaded it. The tech could not sort it out.

With the iPad/iPhone you have settings for both the inbound and outbound mail servers. They need to be entered separately and when you change your password you have to correspondingly change the password in both places. 

 

1) Go to Settings >> Accounts and Passwords 

2) Tap on the Account >> then tap Account line that shows your email address. 

3) Enter your current password on the Password line 

4) Scroll down to SMTP line and press right 

5) On smtpauth.earthlink.net line press the right 

6) Enter your current password on the Password line 

7) Press Done 

8) Once you are done. Please delete emails present in the outbox and send

Remove your email account and set it up again

Make sure that all of your emails are there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove. Tap Delete Account.
