how can i setup my new AirTag with my Macbook Pro if i don't have an iPhone?

Unfortunately, you can’t w/o an iOS device.

The Airtag must be paired to your AppleID using one of the iOS devices listed in “What you need” in the “Related Article” linked above.

The device being used for the pairing MUST also be one of your trusted devices. (i.e. you can’t just “quickly borrow” an iOS device)
