Apple Configurator

I've taken over management of a fleet of iPads for a school. Basically I was just handed a MacBook Air and told "use this".

I'm trying to use Apple Configurator 2 version 2.7.1. Under "Account" I'm prompted to sign in. I enter my apple id and password (I know they are correct) and get an error message - "Authentication Failed".

You'll need to have an account within Apple School Manager to sign in to Apple Configurator 2. You'll also want to determine if the school is using a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform or not. If an MDM is in use, then you'll want to get access. If one is not in use, you'll want to look into purchasing one. MDMs range in price. Some popular options are Jamf, Mosyle, and Kandji.
