Does apple contact you by email to upgrade storage, or is it phishing?

Scams (e-mail, text messages, and phone calls) are getting very good at closely imitating true Apple communications. Always be cautious. Here are some guidelines:

If I get a message I always try to independently check the service directly with Apple, not using any link in the email.
