Gmail app reinstall

Hello. I have an iPhone and have been using the gmail app for a while. Since yesterday I noticed that my emails were not coming in as expected. I decided to delete the app and reinstall. I have reinstalled the app but can’t complet the sign in. After clicking on the sign in button at the bottom of the landing page I am sent to the “manage accounts” page. Here I my existing gmail email address and a button to toggle on or off. Underneath there is a button that says “Remove from this device”. And below that another button that says “add another account”. No matter what I try I can’t complete the sign in and get to my inbox. Please help.

From what you're descibing, though, it sounds as if you're already signed in. I'd try clicking the "Remove from this device" to remove you existing email. Then, try sigining in again. The article linked to above says that you can only access mail from one account at a time.
