the option to use my apple watch to unlock my mac isn't there

Apple states that the option to use my apple watch to unlock my Mac (running Ventura) would be in System settings/Touch ID & Password. The only options I have are using touch ID. How come I don't have Apple Watch unlocking options?

Mac mini (2023 with M2)

I figured it out. My watch was not signed into my Apple ID. Not sure how that happened, but signing in fixed it.
