Delete a conversation but keeping specific messages?

I want to know how can I delete a conversation but keeping just a few messages from that conversation.

Welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) community.

Seems one way to keep a few messages would be to make screen shots of just those messages. How to: Take a screenshot on your iPhone

Then you could simply delete the whole conversation.

says: In the Messages list, swipe left on the conversation,
