Apple Watch not tracking distance when cross country skiing
I have used Ski Tracks to track cross country ski runs earlier. But since the alternative Cross Country Skiing exists in Watch OS 9 both my wife and I tried it today.
And we are disappointed.
The Apple Watch only registered time, calories and heart rate. Nothing else.
Amazing.
No distance, no map. Not even as alternatives.
I can't think of anyone who goes cross country skiing who isn't interested in how far they've been skiing.
This only goes to prove that Apple developers in California has little or no knowledge at all of cross country skiing.
If the Apple Watch is able to register distance and make a map of the workout when I use walking, running och riding my bike, all the necessary sensors are already in place.
Until this apparent discrepancy is fixed I suggest that Apple pull the so called Cross Country Skiing function from workouts in Watch OS.
The third party app Ski Tracks does this and has done so for several years, so there's no argument what so ever that Apple shouldn't have implemented this already.
