This issue has been already asked. Specifically regarding a type/brand of drive, but it happens no matter the kind of drive. I have already set the system parameters to "never" regarding the drives sleep mode. Still the same.
Any advice on this? I have noticed that it happens when the macbook goes into black screen after screensaver or when I turn off the screen.....

I have noticed that it happens when leaving the macbook running on battery, not when plugged.
Is it right to work that way ? Or external drives should not go into sleep mode no matter on the power source the computer is running?
Thanks for the advice. Installed the app but still the same. Looks like OS works that way on battery supply.
These are the options I already had on on the battery part of system preferences.
And still the external drive goes to sleep as I said.
