I've done what the article say, but the airdrop notification still doesn't show up. is there anything that I can do to fix it?

I've been trying to airdrop things from my phone to my Mac but anytime I try nothing shows up on the Mac. I tried doing what the article on the subject recommend (unselecting block all incoming traffic) but airdropping still does not work for me

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

I can confirm that when both devices are using the same Apple ID, the notification does not ask if you want to allow it. You do still get a notification that a photo (or other type) has been sent. The file will be put in the Downloads folder.

After reviewing previous support posts, there have been other users posting similar issues, but hard to determine a specific solution. Also unable to determine if the phone is not sending it or the Mac not receiving it. Most common things to try were switching Bluetooth off, Wifi off, Wifi on, Bluetooth on in that order, then restart on both devices.

Keep us updated to see if we can find the solution.

Here is how I have the Airdrop settings:

For testing purposes I would set the Airdrop setting to "Everyone" until you get it working, then change to Contacts Only. You should get a notification on your Mac to allow the airdrop. I will continue to look into why you are not getting that notification. Wifi and Bluetooth do need to be on with both devices, although the devices do not need to be connected to the same network. My devices are typically connected to the same network, so have not done much testing when not on the same network.
