Every time a phone call comes in. It automatically is on speaker volume and it hurts my ears. How do I turn that feature off

How do I remove the speaker feature that automatically comes up when I am making a call or receiving a call? Sometimes the phone is in my ear when I answer and the speaker sound is so loud it hurts my ear.

iPhone 13, iOS 16

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing > Speaker [Select Automatic]
