I use Apple TV as my smart home hub for homekit. I recently installed an Aqara G4 video doorbell. In the application, the homekit ticked face recognition, however, when calling, the homekit gives a notification that "someone rang the doorbell", although it had to indicate who exactly rang the doorbell using face recognition.
Why is this happening? What should I do to fix this?

If you want your camera to identify visitors at your front door using Face Recognition, you need a HomeKit Secure Video camera or video doorbell.
Unfortunately, I do not see Aqara G4 listed there:
Aqara Camera Hub G2H
Aqara Camera Hub G2H Pro
Aqara Camera Hub G3
Not sure if yours is a new device that is waiting to be added to the list, or just not made compatible.
Please contact the manufacturer about the HomeKit Secure Video compatibility status.
Hi have the Aqara g4 and facial recognition works for me however I have issues as soon as my Apple TV becomes a hub.
If I turn my Apple TV off or remove it from my home then facial recognition works.
I’ve informed Apple about this and waiting for a senior adviser to come back to me with an update
