SEVERE INTERACE PROBLEMS IN VENTURA
Since I bought a new Mac Min (M2) with the latest macOS (Ventura), brand new Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, the interface is sometimes disastrous.
PRELUDE, In case it helps:
• I’ve a BIG screen: 1920x1080px.
• I’m used to macOS since 1984!
• I’m working at least 10h a day on above mentioned new installation, 7d/7.
• For me Finder is like a immense database with many intuitive, easy and very useful possibilities. I’m only using LIST view all files nicely organised in folders. I’m using 7 COLOR LABELS (called TAGS these days) to put together and sort those files. The TAGS help me sorting them by 7 levels of importance to each serie of files I can’t sort on any other characteristic.
This gives you an idea about how important the Finder interface is to me.
1/2. FINDER AUTOMATIC SCROLLING
Whether I’m in a pure macOS application (like TextEdit) or not (FM Pro, Google search, …) the window often scrolls without me asking for. Sometimes even so far I can’t even see what I just typed. So I’ve to stop typing and readjust that annoying auto-scrolling.
In 3 weeks time, I got on update (now 13.3.1) but… nothing changed! I can’t imagine I’m the only one being disturbed by such an inadequate automatic scrolling.
To make it complete: sometimes the current window trembles; i.e. it moves 5x up and down with an amplitude of around 20 pixels.
And to give a second example: when I’m entering a search in Google, upon hitting the return key, the whole screen (¡but NOT always!) scrolls to below the second or third answer Google provides. So just to view the first one, I’ve first to scroll upwards!
2/2. SOUND INCREASEs TO ITS MAX
When I’m listening to music (a) via standard app Music = ex-iTunes or (b) another app (like VLC to watch a movie), and I want (a) to click a song (for whatever reason) or (b) go to another part of the movie, the audio volume suddenly increases to its max (I’ve 2 little but very good loudspeakers), thus almost damaging my eardrums and disturbing (heavily) my neighbours.
These 2 interface problems happen randomly. After 222 days, I still haven’t a clue what causes this very disturbing behaviour.
For the SOUND problem I’m just using the mouse, for the VISUAL problem I’m (mostly) only using the keyboard.
