In Excel, I can subtract one time value from another and with the result convert it into a decimal.
I can manage the first part of this process, but I cannot convert my hour and minutes value into a decimal value. How do you do that in Numbers?

Here is what came up with:
I assume the question relates to payroll or something like that…
two cells contain time, say A1 contains shift START time and A2 contains shift end time…
=A2-A1 will produce time worked in h:m say in A3
DUR2MINUTES(A3)÷60
will produce decimal number of time worked

DUR2HOURS
DUR2MINUTES
DUR2SECONDS
etc.
If ending date-time is in C2 and beginning date-time in B2, then:
=DUR2MINUTES(C2-B2)
Gives you the number of minutes in decimal form.
