Photo booth videos are saving as corrupte… - Apple Community

Using: M2 Pro laptop

Apple- fix this... please.

I just lost a very important 1 hour long video. I am completely devastated...

I've lost a few others in the past, some important... but this... please if anyone can suggest a way to fix this that works... the $9 service mentioned in the previous post didn't clarify if it worked. Can anybody confirm?

I've complained to you guys TWICE and I have been a loyal (free marketing) supporter of y'all, but losing my entire music library including metadata and playlists since gen 2 iPod based on an inexperienced tech agent guidance- BEYOND devastating. and now losing this video...

It's frequent enough for you guys to address regardless, but it is personal now :(

I'll repeat... Apple- fix this.

I am sorry that you lost your video, but I have to say that Photo Booth was never meant to do this. It started as a fun way to take selfies and add some effects, but it was never meant to do any serious video work.

It also probably has not been updated in a long time, except for whatever is necessary to run on newer systems.

If you want to do a longish recording, please use Quicktime Player: File->New Movie Recording.

This will let you choose your camera and audio source, and save it properly as a mov file, which you can share or do further edit on, using e.g. iMovie or FCP.
