Siri intermittently recognizes/doesn't recognize shortcut commands

I have a variety of shortcut commands set up on my iPhone, mainly for smart home-type actions. Examples include "Deactivate Kitchen" (turns off all kitchen lights) and "Log my Blood Pressure" (does what it says).

Siri will sometimes recognize and execute the command on the first try. Sometimes it will object. Example objections include things like "None of your accessories can do that," or "I don't see anything in the Kitchen." Repeating the exact same command enough times will always work. Sometimes on the second try, more often the third.

Any ideas?

Yes, this began happening for me right after agreeing to “update” the Home app/system. All devices are running latest software.

I say “Set scene to X” and get the “None of your accessories can do that” — but pressing Scene X in the Home app works immediately.

Pretty annoying — and must be the result of the update. Anyone with a fix? Thanks in advance!
