Default camera to landscape orientation?

I take a ton of pictures on my iPhone, and they are 99%+ all in landscape orientation. However the phone itself seems to bias towards portrait orientation (tall images, not wide.) This means that for nearly every photo I need to go through the more-cumbersome-than-ever process of editing a photo, crop menu, rotate left, save..

To avoid this, you have to do a dance with the phone where you make it landscape, portrait, then landscape again for it to detect it, which it seems I never remember to do the magic dance first.

Is there any way to just change the default affinity from portrait to landscape? Thanks!

There is no direct method available to change the default camera setting to landscape. You can suggest this feature directly to Apple by leaving a product feedback here 👉 Product Feedback - Apple
