Afrikaans dictionary for writing

I want to keep my menu and other settings in American English but should be able within content of document choose the language I am composing, example Afrikaans, German, Spanish, English (British, American) etc.

How do one do that?

To change language, you go to Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Show Spelling and Grammar and change the language in the menu at the bottom.

To add an Afrikaans dictionary to Apple's system is something different. See

Thank you. I followed the instructions on Adding Spellcheck Languages to MacOS - Apple Community

The OpenOffice item had a link to get example Afrikaans. I added that by renaming it to zip, unzip it and moving the relevant files to ~Library/Spelling. Now, in example SCRIVENER writing software I am able to switch my project between English, Afrikaans, German etc. but keep my menus and other formats to US English.
