Deleting an InstallESD.img file on a MacBook Air (13-inch,2017) macOS Monterey Version 12.6.6

A long time ago (2020) an Install macOs Mojave application was created on the MacBook Air using up 5 GB of space. I can move the "App" to trash but not delete it. I tried to change the permissions from now

-rw-r--r--  1 root  wheel  5544818527 Dec  4  2020 InstallESD.dmg

with sudo chmod, found no combination that helped.

I like to recover that space since the Ait has only 128 GB internal disc space.

Thnks for ideas

You need to disable SIP, delete the file, then re-enable SIP
