Gmail Password not Visible in Settings > Passwords

I know this issue has come up asked many times but I have additional questions.

I have multiple Gmail accounts set up in the iPhone Mail app. For one of those the password is not saved in the Passwords list. It is evidently saved somewhere or I couldn't check the mail account... right? Unfortunately this is the only device that I have used the account on so no saved info anywhere else. I could just make a new account but this is a unique business name and I'd rather not have to include numbers, etc. in the name which I would if I have to remake the account.

Is there any possibility of the password being stored somewhere? It seems odd that some would store here and some won't. I also have others that don't show up the Passwords list but not mail addresses. A bank logon is stored and works with face recognition but that password isn't in the list either so there must be somewhere else that information gets stored.

If there is no possible way to retrieve it on the phone does anyone know if there is any way that Google has provided that someone could send them an email FROM the account they need the retrieve or reset the password for? I'm sure there are MANY people who would also be more than willing to pay a fee if Google could implement such a service if it doesn't already exist.

Anyway... ANY positive help will be very much appreciated!

Thank you for the suggestions but the entire problem is that I can't sign in because I don't know the password. I can only check it on my iPhone email app. That is why I'm trying to find a way to retrieve the password... so that I can sign in. The password can't be changed unless you have your current password.

Never trust modern technology companies to serve you. They are only out to serve themselves. WRITE DOWN ALL important info on paper and put it in your fire safe.

if you didn’t do this, no, you’re not gonna get back into your account. The Mail app uses an auth token, it doesn’t actually save the password. 🤬
