brand new imac stuck on welcome screen

My brand new iMac is stuck on welcome screen. Mouse nor keyboard won't connect so that I can enter password.

iMac 24″, macOS 13.2

Try a wired USB mouse and KB to get things started.

You can also connect the KB charging cable to the Mac and it will then act as a USB KB.
