Installing Fidelity Active Trader Pro 64 bit
I tried your recommendation for granting active trader pro-64-bit, full disk access and it still quits unexpectedly. Has anyone been able to install it successfully?

One doesn't need to hop into the Terminal to clean up the Active Trader application. There can be risk associated with a recursive remove for others viewing this post, that are not Terminal savvy.
Instead, in the Finder, press shift+cmd+G (Go To Folder) and copy/paste the following in that dialog followed by a return. This will open a new Finder window on the folder. No need to escape the spaces here:
~/Library/Application Support
Select the Active Trader Pro folder in the above folder, and press cmd+delete to move it to the Trash. In the same Finder window, select Applications in the Favorites sidebar and then click on the Active Trader Application, and press cmd+delete to move it to the Trash.
Empty the Trash.

They make no mention of Apple Silicon Mac support. Which Macbook Pro do you have?
As that is not an Apple product, I also recommend you talk with Fidelity. This is the support number on their software page:
Have you checked with Fidelity to see if it is compatible with Mac OS?
Deleting the program and reinstalling it doesn’t fix the problem. The reason is that there are application files stored under ~/Library. BTW I am currently operating on a 2022 macbook air 13.4.1. In order to fix this problem you have to unintall ATP a special way by going into Finder --> Macintosh --> Applications --> Utilities --> Terminal. then copy & paste this line of code into terminal and press enter.
sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Active\ Trader\ Pro/
type in your password & press enter and then copy and pate this next line of code into terminal and press enter.
sudo rm -rf /Applications/Active\ Trader\ Pro.app
Should completely delete the application and at this point try reinstalling it back on your mac.
I previously installed this application years ago on my 2016 suboptimal macbook pro and the files somehow got messed up. Better off useing ATP on a PC at this point as it is unrealiable and will crash on mac still. hope this helps.

Isn't this the software that expects CrossOver for Mac to pretend to run in Windows, and never was intended as a pure Mac application?
