hide my email not receiving messages

none of my the hide my email - email addresses are delivering mail to me.

I found out because a website I signed up to using a hide my email address would not let me login and said I needed to verify my account by clicking a link they emailed me. after several days the email has not come and I asked it to be resent many times.

so then I tested a bunch of my other hide my email addresses by sending mail to them from a gmail account. only 1 came through about 3 hours later.

how do I fix this.

apple support employees dont even know what hide my email is and told me I dont have any problems. one person hung up on me out of frustration with the topic. what a joke.
