I can’t access my iPhone to turn off find my phone! I need to submit a claim

My iPhone is damaged and it will not turn on. I need to remove it so the Find my phone is off on this device.

how do I do this

Review this Support Article and follow the instructions on how to remove a device that you no longer have.

Activation Lock will then be disabled, but that does not seem to matter since you are unable to use the device anyway.
