Can you have a description for a photo album on Mac?

I know you can enter a caption, title, and keyword for a photo, but can you also enter a general description for the entire photo album that the photos are in?

No, an album has only a name, but the name can be fairly long. I have some with names almost 50 characters long, but the longer ones get unwieldy.
