Devices that are incompatible with ios17 should be able to download the newest version that is compatible. (Iphone X needs ios update)

I have not updated my iPhone X in a few years, i am still using iOS 14.7 and now many of my apps are requiring an ios upgrade from me. However, ios 17 is not compatible with the iphone x. Is there anyway I can update my device to a previous version that is compatible with my iPhone X??

iPhone 7, iOS 11

Your iPhone X is capable of running iOS 16.7. The problem is that you have now skipped a couple years worth of updates, so you'll need to use your computer with iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac) to update your iPhone.
