Question

404 error to download movies/TV Show

So how can I be the only person to have this issue?

I have purchased a movie and when i do to download it, i get an error (attached). I download all the movies and TV shows for safe keeping (so when a provider/studio pulls it from the store, I still have a copy)

Only happens on certain movies...not all.

I have:

Upgraded to the latest operating system (OS 14)
Tried to re-download from both the Library view and the actual movie page in the store
Tried to download same movie on laptop; getting same error
Switched my WiFi networks

It WILL download to my phone.

Support was useless.

I just want someone to admit that they too have the same issue.

I had the same error and was able to get around it. The issue appears to be RCN (aka Astound)'s DNS is jacked up for Apple. I bypassed their DNS in my router and used CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8). Flush DNS locally and then it worked for me.

I have narrowed this down.

RCN is not allowing me to download -- but my iphone acting as a hotspot is?

I had the same problem, and I followed your advice.

Neither wired LAN nor WLAN let me download the movies I had purchased. But using the iPhone as a hot spot was ok..

What is RCN?

Same here. Even connecting the PC to the internet via phone or another provider didn't help. Neither DNS flushing and walking through the process within the account menu.

No videos, series or movies can be loaded. Even no music videos that came with some of the albums.
