What happens if I click "Stop Using Apple ID" for "Apps Using Apple ID"? Will it delete my account, information, and data from that app or just Apple?

For example, I used Apple login for a couple of apps that I am trying to delete my account for. Internally, the apps said they will email me deletion instructions for my account. I gave them the email under the "Hide My Email. This app received ...@privaterelay.appleid.com." However, I have not received any email from those apps. I have "Forward To" my real email turned on. My real email is supposed to receive emails sent to the @privaterelay.appleid.com address, correct?

I cannot find any information on what happens if I "Stop Using Apple ID" for these apps. Will my account still exist on those apps or does "stop using Apple ID" delete the accounts for those apps? Has anyone tried or tested this feature yet?

Hello yourhelpisneeded,

Information related to ending the use of the Hide My Email addresses can be found at Stop using, reactivate, or delete a Hide My Email address on iCloud.com - Apple Support. Depending on your choice, you can temporarily stop using it or permanently remove it.

Per Manage your apps with Sign in with Apple - Apple Support:

What happens if you stop using Sign in with Apple with an app
When you stop using your Apple ID with an app, you're signed out of the app on your device. The next time you visit the app or its associated website, you can either select Sign in with Apple to sign in again, or create a new account.
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple again, you're signed in to the same account that you previously used. Some apps might let you create a new password for your existing account so you can sign in again without using your Apple ID.
If you delete your account in an app where you use Sign in with Apple, you might receive an email from Apple that the app has revoked your Sign in with Apple account. If you want to create a new account with that app, you have to share your name and email address with the app again or create a new account using Sign in with Apple.

On that same article, it outlines details related to confirming and changing where your emails are forwarded. So you can also double-check that to make sure that your forwarded emails are going to the proper account.

Cheers!
