Very annoying McAfee notices

I recently started receiving notices from McAfee telling me to activate it. The notice pops up in the upper right corner of the screen, appears for a few seconds and then disappears, but pops up repeatedly every minute or so. Extremely annoying. It wants me to purchase the product which I have no intention of doing so. How can I make this disappear? I am running Sonoma 14.1 on a MacBook Air. Thank you for any help.
