In finder, how can I reverse the order of images, in full view mode, shown in a folder?

The answer provided previously is to "use List view and then do a reverse sort". This is NOT a good solution because in list view, I simply can't see the image that well, even on a 32" monitor. The preview pane, expanded all the way, is just too small.

I want to view images in any folder in full view where the most recent image appears first, allowing me to scroll to older images. It appears that my MAC sorts all images so that the oldest images appear first and you have to scroll forever to get to the most recent image. Who would want that type of sort? It's not helpful.

How can I go to any folder in Finder, so that I can just view images, (not lists), sorted by the most recent image? Where's the switch to reverse this?
