USB Audio Input not working after update

I recently updated my MacBook Air to Monterey 12.7.1 but didn't change any other setting, inputs, cables etc. Prior to the update I've used an 8-channel ALESIS mixer with USB Audio input for recording, and I've used the same setup for years with no issues. Now, after the update, under my sound settings it shows the USB Audio CODEC as an input, just like always, but it doesn't register sound input anymore. There's no Input Level and the text says the selected device has no input controls. There's no errors or codes that pop up, just no sound. The output side shows the same USB Audio CODEC and works just fine.

Use the Audio Midi Setup application in your Applications -> Utilities folder. 16 bit 44.1kHz sound is best unless you are using more than two channels in audio. Updates frequently switch to a higher bitrate/frequency without your knowledge.

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion just now, but no luck. It does show USB Audio CODEC under input and I can switch back and forth between it and the Built-in Microphone as the input source, but still no actual input sound/signal when using the USB CODEC. The Primary Stream controls are all at zero and greyed out (Primary, Front Left/Right) when I select the USB input, but when I select the built-in mic I have full control. Again, I can use the same USB Audio CODEC for Output and it works just fine.
