Recovery Request

I have been trying to reset my apple id password for three months now. Apple keeps rescheduling the recovery date. I have stayed up multiple times at night just to meet the appointment time and date they set up for recovery and all they do is email me a new date 2 weeks out again. This is ridiculous. Not only is my access to my phone and laptop cut off, i cannot access apple pay, iTunes nothing. Is this a new way of getting people to buy a new phone or laptop?? I cannot even do a reset on the phone to delete the id because my find my iPhone needs the password to logout. Only other option is to delete everything!! Thats over 10 years of photos, data and text. Can anyone with a mind please assist? Also had to use someone else's Apple id to write this post as access to mine is cut off :(
